One thing I’ve been doing over there is, if I listen to a record in the morning before I go to work, I take a picture with “The Instagram” and post it to “The Twitter”. All the photos below are from the last two weeks or so of doing this.
It’s fun. Come interact with it/us if you are in/on “The Twitter”.
My favorite metaphor for THE INTERNET is that it’s a garden. When you don’t water it, it doesn’t grow, nothing new sprouts up, all these weeds take over and you can’t tell what’s worth it and what’s not.
When you do water it, it grows, and, if the weather complies, will flourish and become something worth working on, or at least seem like it.
Is it true? I dunno. It’s hard to have a controlled non-internet environment for this experiment. That is, until we “move outta town to work on an organic farm” or something like that that people sometimes do, and we forget they exist for a while until they email us or come back to town and post all their pictures to their blog.
Our SKELETONS™ b(r)and is reconvening this week, ready to work out something shiny and new for the BAM “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry” Festival. Hope to share it with you when it’s ready.
